Please proofread and do a spell check before sending.
Please use a complete blank line between paragraphs. Spell out abbreviations.
Example: use "appointment" for "appt" and spell
out symbols such as "and" instead of &, "pounds" for #, etc. Watch
for shortcuts: use "because" instead of cuz, b/c, or cause,
for instance.
Submissions should
be pasted into the body of your email rather than sent as an attachment.
Type "Tough Issues" in the subject line along with the topic of the
month (ie Tough Issues: divorce). Send to issues at exploringwomanhood.com.
There are no
specifications on length. Please feel free to write as much or as
little as you like but be aware that in some cases we may ask for
more or less information. The purpose of this project is to help women
find their voice, share the truth about tough issues, and help support
others.
Please include a statement which gives permission
to StorkNet Family to publish your story. We will not publish any
stories which do not include this statement.
We try to respond to all submissions but because of
a small staff and heavy workload, we cannot guarantee that every story
will be posted.
We will not publish anything that is a sales pitch for
a product, business or website. We will not publish stories that appear
to be defamatory, inaccurate, harassing, abusive, obscene, profane,
vulgar, sexually explicit, threatening, or illegal material, or any
material containing blatant expressions of bigotry, racism, or hate.
Stories that appear to use real names, are hard to understand or appear
to be incompatible with our topic, project or website will be discarded.
By submitting your article, you are representing that you are the original
author. Also, by submitting your article, you give us permission to
publish your work on our sites and to edit for length, grammar or typos
if necessary.
