I LOVE pink and I want a pink wedding dress. Not a pale barely noticeable pink, but a HOT pink that I'm sure will make my mother yell, and my grandmother swoon. Should I do it?

Dear Passion,
There are some magnificent colored wedding gowns out! Your wedding should be a reflection of you (and your groom). If this is what you both want for your day, you should go for it. It's your wedding day and you should wear what will make you feel beautiful, look beautiful and provide you with memories that will make you smile every time you look at your wedding photos. If hot pink is your desired color, don't worry about what anyone has to say about your choice.
You may want to decide if telling your mother and grandmother in advance will help alleviate the shock of seeing you walk down the aisle in pink, or if the element of surprise will best work in your favor, and provide you with a little peace leading up to the wedding.
I also suggest that you coordinate the rest of the colors of your wedding and reception carefully. Perhaps select bridesmaid dresses in a complementary shade of pale pink, or black for drama. Also, make sure the colors used at your venues will not clash with your color selections. Many ceremony sites decorate assuming brides will wear the traditional white, ivory or soft pastels. A hot pink wedding gown may require some additional pre-planning.
I love the idea of you personalizing your day with a unique wedding gown. In the end - it's all about you. I say, go for it!
