The Glory of Greatness
by Jennifer Louden
What do I want to do right now? Presence greatness. One gift of this strange, upsetting time is the chance to witness and to embody greatness.
We behold greatness in the fire fighters that perished saving others. We see greatness in the people who attempted to save the one plane from the hijackers. We drink in the greatness of rescue workers, grieving families, soldiers, and people marching for peace. What a glorious outpouring of greatness. And while we glory in this greatness, we also want to contribute. We yearn to give back, we yearn
to make a difference.
What is your gift of greatness?
This is a strange and humbling time to be alive. We are being called to choose between numbness and aliveness, between resignation and hope, between fear and love. We WILL each find our greatness, I have faith in that. I hold a strong vision of this community of almost 8000 women and men rising up, using our courage to find our gifts and bestow them on the world.
Take yourself by the hand.
It is okay to stumble in the dark.
We stumble together.
It is okay to walk forward trembling with tears running down your face.
Fear your greatness.
I fear mine.
But don't doubt it.
Join hands because we have no choice.
Here we go.
