~ Glimpses of Motherhood of Twins
Birth
- push, push, push, a joyous wail, more pushes, another
voice joins in.
10
minutes old - Here's your babies. Our first snuggle, warm,
dry, and reunited. Welcome to the world my little girls.
Four
days old - Sleeping, crying, feeding. Breastmilk everywhere!
Welcome home! A new big sister is ready to help and love
these two bundles we bring to keep.
Two
weeks old - Who sleeps? Not Mommy AKA the feeding machine.
Babies - beautiful babies, snuggle together each time
they sleep.
Ten
weeks old - Colic? Who has colic? Rocking, swaying, two
babies in my arms. When does Daddy get home????? Hi Honey!
Mind if I take a break? I'll be in the bath. Mysteriously,
a two year old joins in. We play together, splash, and
cuddle. Time to return to the babies!
6
months old - Wow! You've grown so much! Baby food jars
everywhere! What appetites! You eat and sleep so much
better now! Big sister and I are glad to have made it
so far!
One
year old - A celebration of life, love, and a world that's
forever changed. Happy birthday my babies! We made it!
Walking
a little bit and talking a little bit. Baby gate time!
Eighteen
Months - The house is filled with running, laughter and
new words are made each day! Big sister and I are busy
watching and playing. We all sleep well at the end of
the day!
Two
years - Another celebration - two little girls, not babies,
with strollers and new babies of their own. Dancing at
storytime, hugs and "I lub ou!" Chasing, learning,
and lots of playtime with my three lovely girls.
Three
years - Twins days - We walk next to you as you drive
in the parade. You throw candy to the kids all by yourselves.
Big sister leads the way, but you can do it yourself -
almost.
We
swim now and spend days at the pool together in the warm
sunshine. You can ride bikes with training wheels and
play baseball. Two individuals with different likes, great
appetites, and boundless energy. Two close friends, sisters.
Holding hands and hugging. Loving to play together.
