Hanging Potpourri Holders
Thank you to StorkNet member Debbie (Licagita) for submitting this idea!
Materials:
- Wooden embroidery hoop
- Scrap of lace material (In the example, a lace piece with a pattern was used. These pieces are hard to find.)
- Scrap of fabric
- Ruffled lace (measure to fit around the hoop)
- Potpourri
- Hot glue gun or craft glue
Directions:
- Frame lace in the embroidery hoop making sure that the clamp is on top so you can use it as a hanger.
- Trim the lace so that you can turn over the edge and glue it to the back rim of the inside hoop. (This creates a neat edge.)
- Trace the outside of the hoop on fabric and cut the circle out. Glue the fabric to the back of the hoop leaving a portion unglued to leave access for filling.
- Fill with potpourri then glue the remaining fabric down. (Fill entirely with potpourri, unless you want the background fabric to show through.)
- Glue the ruffled lace around the front edge of the hoop, and embellish with dried flowers or a ribbon bow if you choose.
