Christmas Ornament Exchange 2003

Beaded Ornament
Submitted by MommyToAandV

Beaded OrnamentSupplies needed:

  • 2 inch styrofoam ball
  • gold paint
  • silver glitter
  • clear beads (3 different sizes)
  • straight pins w/metallic balls on ends
  • ribbon (to hang ornament)
  • glue

Directions:

  1. Paint styrofoam ball gold. While paint is wet, sprinkle lightly with glitter.

  2. Make a small bow and a long loop out of the ribbon and attach it to the top of the ball by adding some glue to the top of the bow, and pinning a bead through the ribbon. Pin another bead to the bottom of the ball.

  3. Arrange beads in any fashion desired onto the ball. The beads will have enough weight that gluing them in addition to the use of the pins is suggested. Leave all straight pins in the beads, they are part of the ornament.

  4. Any color paint or beads my be used, but the gold, glitter and clear beads receive added effects when placed next to lights on a Christmas tree.
