The Bachelor Preferred Pastry is the fourth in a series of delectable titles full of yummy stories and delightful characters created by Shirley Jump. The Bride Wore Chocolate, The Devil Served Tortellini and The Angel Craved Lobster started this scrumptious run. And what tasty treats they are.
With a heroine (Olivia) determined to succeed at all costs, and a hero (Daniel) determined to succeed in spite of the costs, Ms. Jump concocted a great story. The Bachelor Preferred Pastry mixes working class with money, dysfunctional family dynamics and crazed demonstrators through great dialogue and some entertaining twists. They all converge to create a fun, romantic, and spicy read.
When life gets a bit too hectic and reality leaves you feeling too pessimistic, Ms. Jump's books pull you right into a magical world where you can believe that anything is possible and a little trust can get you anything and everything your heart desires. Despite the dips, twists, and tangles, her tales will grudgingly have you remember that life can and will throw and few curve balls but, you'll probably win the game.
